High Level Concentrate Instrument Disinfectant Based on Peracetic Acid

Properties

Actosed® PA Solution is an aldehyde- and phenol-free disinfectant with corrosion inhibitors.

Areas of application: Actosed® PA Solution is suitable for manual disinfection of all kinds of thermostable and thermolabile medical and surgical instruments, e.g. from MIC-surgery, anesthesia materials, instrument trays, ultrasonic devices and endoscopes. Also suitable for cleaning and disinfecting automats.

Ingredients

100 g solution contains:
Combination of peracetic acid and hydrogen peroxide ≤10 %, corrosion inhibitors and auxiliary substances

Actosed® OPA is suitable for heat-resistant and heat-sensitive medical instruments and endoscopes made of aluminum, brass, copper, stainless steel, polyurethane, rubber, latex, silicone and glass materials with neutral pH value. The product is used in the widely-known endoscope brands such as Wolf, Storz, Fujinon, Pentax, Olympus.

Method of Use:​

Instructions for use: Wear gloves before use. Actosed® PA Solution is a concentrate and has to be diluted. The recommended working concentration is 3% (this corresponds to 30 ml Actosed® PA Solution in 1 liter of water). Before using Actosed® PA Solution, the disinfecting tub should be cleaned thoroughly with Actoclean® Flüssig/Perfect and clear water, to remove residues of other, especially aldehyde-containing chemicals. For preparing the solution, use the dosing pump. Disassemble instruments after use and place them for at least 10 min. into the working solution. Make sure that all surfaces and cavities are completely covered. After disinfection, rinse instruments thoroughly with water and dry them. Renew solution depending on contamination. Acto® Oil Spray SF and Actoton® M are recommended for instrument care.

Safety instructions: Danger! Wear suitable protective clothing. May cause fire or explosion; strong oxidiser. Harmful if swallowed. If swallowed: Rinse mouth. Do not induce vomiting. Causes severe skin burns and eye damage. If on skın: Gently wash with plenty of soap and water. Take off contaminated clothing and wash it before reuse. If ın eyes: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. Keep only in the original container, tightly closed, at a cool, well ventilated place and out of reach of children. Store at room temperature. If medical advice is required, keep package or label available. Read and understand all instructions for use and all safety instructions before use. Shelf life is 3 years at room temperature. Use the open-package product in 6 weeks. The fix solution can be used for 7 days.
